President

The President of the Alliance manages the organization and acts as the official representative. The individual will act as President after being voted in as President-Elect. The President will also serve as the Chair of the Executive and Finance Committee.

The President serves the following roles for the members:

  • Appoints individuals to serve as committee chairs.
  • Creates or continues workgroups based on member need.
  • Assures that the Executive Secretary onboards new Board members appropriately.
  • Assigns liaisons to represent the Alliance with other organizations.
  • Represents the Alliance at industry meetings and events, if feasible.
  • Works with the Executive Secretary to determine board and membership meeting agendas.
  • Regularly reviews all committee, workgroup, and board activities and presents new ideas/information.
  • Writes “Presidents Column” to be posted on the website.
  • Presents certificates/awards.
  • Facilitates performance evaluation of Executive Secretary in collaboration with the Executive and Finance Committee.
