Executive Secretary
The Executive Secretary is an appointed position. Every year the Executive and Finance Committee makes a recommendation and the Board of Directors approves the individual. While the Executive Secretary is a part of the Board of Directors, they do not get to vote in decision making.
The Executive Secretary serves the following roles for the members:
- Provide leadership for the Alliance and activities.
- Alert Officers and Board Members about significant matters needing their attention or action.
- Serve as a representative of the Alliance.
- Prepare, with advice from the Treasurer, a proposed annual budget to be reviewed and adopted by the Board of Directors.
- Serve as Editor-In-Chief of the publications and website of the Alliance.
- Sends notices of meetings and events to the members.
- Present an annual report of activities to the members of the Alliance.
- Conduct the official correspondence of the Alliance under the direction of the President, officers, or committees.
- Acts as a liaison with local, state, and federal governments, private agencies and health care organizations, and the Nevada Board of Pharmacy.
